The state fair is a quintessential part of American heritage. It’s where rural meets urban, food is sold on a stick, and carnival rides fill the air with screams of excitement. Many people encounter farm animals for the first time at the state fair. I milked a cow at my first state fair, and was able to help feed a few hogs. It’s this connection to the pastoral that Morphicon 2010 : State Fair is about celebrating. With a deep appreciation for those people in our society that work with animals on a daily basis. Not to mention the thrill of an exciting ride, the taste of sickeningly sweet, always deep fried food, as well as the companionship of enjoying all that with others.

What is Rocket City FurMeet? It’s an anthropomorphics or furry convention. It’s a get-together, a gathering of friends, a chance to make new friends, and much more. It’s primary purpose is to provide a place where furs can gather to have fun and be themselves; a place to be who we really are without having to worry about the mundane concerns we think about the rest of the year. In short, it is a fur meet. Amongst RCFM’s many unique traditions are its science and technology oriented themes inspired by it’s close proximity to the US Space and Rocket Center, Marshall Space Flight Center, and the Redstone Arsenal. RCFM is also well known for it’s numerous food events aimed at keeping its attendees from having to wander away from the hotel very often for meals.

Held in the beautiful Canadian wilderness of Algonquin Park against picturesque Tee Pee Lake, the rustic Camp Arowhon offers dozens of camp activities such as archery, lake sports, and wall climbing and Camp Feral! supplies the rest: furry workshops, special events and activities, and dances held in a cabin in the woods! The all-inclusive registration covers your activities, food and lodging for five days and four nights as well as special events such as the Pre-Feral BBQ and Dead Dog!
