Japanese Animation, Film, and Art Expo (JAFAX) is the nation’s largest free anime convention. Specifically focused in educating attendees in all aspects of Japanese culture. It is a two day festival with games, contests, entertainment, education and shopping. Each year, guests join us from different parts of the Anime and Japanese cultural industry, to bring this event to you. JAFAX also exists to support uprising artists, giving them an outlet to express themselves to you and our guests. Don’t forget to pick up some pocky from one of our many vendors!
Slay-A-Thon is a 12-hour marathon watching some of the best episodes of <em>Buffy the Vampire Slayer</em> and <em>Angel</em>, meeting and laughing with other Whedon fans, and having a great time while simultaneously raising money for the <em>Make-A-Wish Foundation</em>® of Illinois.
G-FEST is the largest regular gathering of Godzilla and Japanese monster fans in the world. Held each summer, it typically attracts more than 2000 attendees. G-FEST is a family-oriented convention which caters to a wide variety of interests within the kaiju genre. G-FEST features presentations and Q & A sessions by actors and crew from the Japanese Godzilla films, fan presentations on topics of interest, contests and gaming, new and classic kaiju movies, the western world’s largest kaiju-oriented dealers room, and lots of fun and camaraderie.
